Whether you're looking to go camping with the family or need a full-size SUV that's ideal for New England winters, the upcoming 2022 Subaru Ascent at Charlie's Subaru has a trim for you. The Onyx Edition is a new trim for this model year, and it offers the same great capability as you've come to expect from the Onyx name in Augusta.

Performance

The Onyx Edition for the 2022 Ascent comes with the same great 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that's standard in the rest of the lineup. This provides 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque, which lets Bangor drivers tow up to 5,000 pounds on all their adventures.

Interior

You'll find many fantastic amenities in the Onyx Edition. It carries over the heated front seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel from the Premium trim and adds a heated steering wheel, making it perfect for heading up the mountains outside South Portland, ME. Something unique about the Onyx Edition is the StarTex® upholstery, which is water-repellant and easy to clean.

Exterior

The 2022 Ascent Onyx Edition is ready to show your Auburn friends who's boss thanks to LED Steering Responsive Headlights and LED fog lights. It also has Crystal Black Silica-finish folding side mirrors which have integrated turn signals. If you would like, you can pick up the power tilt/sliding panoramic moonroof on this trim as well.

Safety

Subaru's EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology comes standard on the Onyx Edition, along with Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking and much more. It's easy to feel safe and secure around Portland with this innovative technology backing you up.
